Working Paper on US IRA, a IEP@BU-IAI event in Rome

On November 13, the Institute for European Policymaking co-organized with IAI, the Istituto per gli Affari Internazionali, an event in Rome dedicated to discussing the implication of the US Industrial Reduction Act on European industries and, specifically, on Italian companies.

IEP@BU director, Daniel Gros, presented the working paper he co-authored with Philipp Leo Mengel and Giorgio Presidente, The Eu and the US Inflation Reduction Act, No Rose Without Thorns.

Natalie Tocci, IAI director, and Hugo Doyle, Senior Director and Head of International Public Affairs, Intesa Sanpaolo welcomed the participants.

A debate followed Daniel Gros’ presentation. Janina Landau, from Class CNBC, moderated a conversation between Giorgia Giovannetti, an economist from the University of Florence, Paolo Quercia, a senior official at the Italian Ministry for Business and Made in Italy, and Alessandro Terzulli, SACE chief economist.
