Europe on the Move: Dialogue, Democracy, Freedom
On 27 February 2026, Bocconi University will host “Europe on the Move: Dialogue, Democracy, Freedom”, a public event dedicated to reflecting on the present and future of the European project.
At a time when Europe is navigating complex global dynamics and internal transformations, the discussion will focus on the principles that have shaped European integration: dialogue across differences, democratic resilience, and the protection of fundamental freedoms.
Among the speakers, Sylvie Goulard, Vice President of the Institute for European Policymaking @ Bocconi University (IEP), will offer a European policy perspective grounded in institutional experience and academic engagement. Her intervention will reflect IEP’s mission to promote rigorous analysis and informed debate on key issues shaping the European Union.
The event will also feature Cardinal Matteo Zuppi, Archbishop of Bologna and President of the Italian Episcopal Conference, a prominent voice in public dialogue on peace, social cohesion, and interreligious engagement at both national and international level.
The discussion will be opened by Andrea Sironi, President of Bocconi University, and will include remarks by Francesco Billari, Rector of Bocconi University. It will be moderated by Andrea Malaguti, Director of La Stampa.
