Lucio R. Pench is the former Director for Fiscal Policy and the Policy Mix at the Directorate-General for Economic and Financial Affairs of the European Commission. He served at the European Commission from 1989 until his retirement in 2023.
His research topics concern local development, industrial economics, public policies. He has published about one hundred of scientific and professional papers in the fields of EU and Italian industry, industrial districts, local development.
