REGULATING EU CAPITAL MARKETS UNION Codification of the Acquis in a European Capital Markets Code

Brussels
-
The research project “European Capital Markets Code (ECMC)” responds to the EU’s call for a unified, competitive, and investment-friendly regulatory environment. By consolidating fragmented rules into a coherent code, it strengthens legal certainty, supports cross-border investment, and fosters transparency. As a legislative and operational blueprint, the ECMC underpins the Savings and Investments Union and modernizes Europe’s capital markets.
The outline of the project is described in a brief IEP@BU commentary available here.
The project will be presented by prof. Ruediger Veil, followed by a discussion with some of the main experts on the topic.
