Francesco Decarolis
Francesco Decarolis is Full Professor at the Department of Economics, Bocconi University - Milan. His area of research is Industrial Organization and he mostly works on topics in competition economics, antitrust, market design, public procurement and the regulation of digital platforms.
He is CEPR Research Affiliate, an associate editor of The Review of Economic Studies and Journal of the European Economic Association, a board member of the Association for Competition Economics and a member of the Executive Committee of European Association for Research in Industrial Economics. Over the last fifteen years, he has held various advisory roles for different public bodies including the European Commission, the Italian Presidency of the Council of Ministers, the Italian Antitrust Authority and the Milan Court of Justice. He has occupied managing roles as Coordinator of the Accounting, Economics and Statistics Area of the National School of Administration of the Italian Presidency of the Council of Ministries, and as Coordinator of two ERC Research Projects: RepCor (Reputation and Corruption in Procurement, 2016-2021) and CoDiM (Competition in Digital Markets, 2021-2025).
