Trade and technology relations between China and the EU, a Hybrid meeting IEP@BU - Fudan University
IEP organized on May, 25, a hybrid meeting involving European and Chinese scholars to discuss key issues in the trade and technology relations between China and the EU.
The European scholars were connected online whereas Fudan students and Faculty were assembled in a room at the economics department of Fudan University.
The event started with several short presentations by the Chinese scholars emphasizing the potential for increasing trade to mutual benefit. This was followed by the interventions from the European scholars who generally drew attention to the pitfalls created by the manifold interventions of the government in the economy.
The final Q&A session allowed Chinese students to put direct questions to the European scholars.
