Marcello Messori

Marcello Messori is a part-time professor at the Schuman Centre, European University Institute (EUI), and a member of the EMU-Lab at the same Centre. He is a non-resident Fellow at the Institute for European Policy Making (IEP), Bocconi University. He is co-coordinator of the ‘Gruppo Europa’ at Astrid Foundation.

He has been the coordinator of a group of advisers for the European Parliament, a Professor of Economics at LUISS and University of Rome ‘Tor Vergata’, Visiting Professor at European Universities (Sciences-Po, Paris; Paris-X Nanterre, LATAPSES, Université de Nice), and Visiting scholars in several US, Irish, and Australian Universities (mainly, MIT and Stanford University). He published about three hundred works in Italian, English, French, and German. In recent years, his field of work has focused on the economic governance of the European Union, and mainly on the financial and economic policy problems.

Marcello Messori has been the coordinator of national and international research groups, and he has been involved in various institutional activities. In this last respect, he has been president of the Italian Railways company and president of the Italian Association of Asset Management (Assogestioni). Currently, he is president of Allianz Bank.
