Maria Antonia is a Postdoctoral Researcher at Bocconi Lab for European Studies (BLEST), which she joined in 2021 with a project on the impact of Next Generation EU on EU fiscal integration. Her research interests lie in European constitutional law, in particular in the fields of Economic and Monetary Union (EMU), EU citizenship and welfare law. Her public engagement activities include a podcast episode and a TEDx talk on broad issues of EU law. 

She holds a PhD in Law from Durham University (2021), where she was a Teaching Fellow in International/EU Law (2021-2021) and Co-Director of the Durham European Law Institute (2021). She was also a Visiting Doctoral Researcher at New York University (2018-2019) and will be a CIVICA Postdoctoral Fellow at the European University Institute in 2024.

Gabriella Perotto is currently a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in EU Law at BLEST (Bocconi Lab in European Studies – Bocconi University) and Adjunct Professor of EU Law at LUMSA University (Rome) She completed he PhD in EU law at the University of Turin with a dissertation on tax competition in the European Union and the limits on Member States’ tax powers, under the supervision of prof. Francesco Costamagna. Her main research field concerns tax competition in the EU and State aid law.

Moreover, she had the chance to broadened her research interests by focusing on other areas of EU law such as the defence sector (EU Strategic autonomy and EU defence industry) and the environmental policy. In particular, her current research project explores the impact of the fight against climate change on EU sectoral policies. Since the climate objective is perceived as a priority at European level, the research will consider how it is integrated into EU policies and balanced with the specific interests pursued therein.

Zachary Porreca is a postdoctoral fellow at Bocconi University. He completed his PhD in Economics at West Virginia University in 2023. He is an applied microeconomist with interests in crime, corruption, law, and emergent institutions. His recent work focuses on the interaction between violence, illicit markets, and the urban environment.

Italo is Associate Professor of Economic Policy at Bocconi University, in Milan. He works in the Department of Social and Political Sciences. He is a Research Fellow of the BAFFI CAREFIN Research Centre and of CESifo. He is a Senior Researcher of FEEM.

He teaches "Economics and Politics of the European Union", "European Economic Policy", "Macroeconomics", "Economics of European Integration", and "European Policy". His research focuses on International Trade, Political Economics, and Applied Industrial Organization.

Massimo Bordignon is currently full professor of Public Economics at the Catholic University of Milan. He worked as a consultant for several national and international institutions and acted as a member of several technical commissions within the Italian Government. He is currently member of the scientific committee of the High Commission on Fiscal Federalism (Ministry of Treasury) and President of the Committee on Public Expenditure of the Autonomous Province of Trento.

Since 2011, Beda Romano has been the correspondent for Il Sole 24 Ore in Brussels, covering European affairs. Previously, from 2000 to 2011, he was the correspondent from Germany. He has contributed to numerous international publications, including Le Point, The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, and Challenges.

Marco Ventoruzzo is Full Professor of Corporate Law and Financial Markets Regulation. His research interests cover corporate law, corporate governance, financial structure of business organizations, securities regulation, and takeovers.
