Laura Bottazzi is Full Professor of Economics at the University of Bologna. She is a Fellow at the Innocenzo Gasparini Institute for Economic Research (IGIER) at Bocconi University, the Center for Economic Policy Research (CEPR) in London, and an affiliate of AFFECT, the American Finance Association’s committee for women in finance.
Recognized among the top 100 experts in Economics and Finance in Italy, her research focuses on international economics, innovation, venture capital, corporate financing, shock propagation, and financial literacy.
She earned a degree in Economic and Social Disciplines from Bocconi University and a PhD in Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
